A gentle mouse with finely tuned bubbles, the liquid is tinged light green with golden specks of straw. Toasty yeast leaps from the glass and is quickly joined with deliciously crisp apple and rockmelon. Fresh violet florals and rose petals mingle in the background.
The palate is toasty and mildly yeasty with lush gooseberry being dominant, but not overpowering. Pineapple, nice wood and a flinty mineral acidity that is reminiscent of matchstick. The finish is essentially dry, but for a touch of rockmelon, lemon, pineapple, cantaloupe lingers, or perhaps hovers in the background.
A moreish wine that is made in a drink now style. Overall it is delicate, with loads of character and definitely worth a look.
