Limited supplies only - Winemaker wants to clear to cash for new oak and red wines.
We eagerly awaited this new wine as a premium entry to our carefully selected chardonnay range as the market once again is going off its rocker and for good reason. The wine is sublime, developed, buttery and toasty. The normal RRP is so far north of this price you have to understand it is only limited in quantity for this vintage and race in to get yours quick.
Chardonnay with some time on lees and toasty oak combine to ensure a seamless, rich and sessionable wine that is perfect with so many great foods. Make a butter chicken, seared scallops or King fish Cerviche and you have the perfect partnership for decadence.
From the Winery
This cool climate Chardonnay comes from our own Family Vineyards which are grown in the famous Terra Rossa soils of the Limestone Coast.
The Terramore FLOW shows the typical characteristics of a cool climate Chardonnay, with Ripe seasonal fruits of Nectarine and grape fruit, balanced by elegant oak to provide a smooth finish.
For lovers of great wine we invite you to share in Terramore and trust that you will return to enjoy our wines again and again.
The name Terramoré is a play on words [Terra] of course being the terroir for which Coonawarra is renown for, and [amoré] meaning love, created the perfect word for those connoisseurs who truly understand great terroir and love wine.
Phil and Mandy Gartner along with their 3 children Taylah, Abbie and Cooper are the people behind Terramoré. Being third generation Coonawarra wine growers and with their wealth of knowledge felt that the time was right to launch Coonawarra’s newest wine label. The name Terramoré is a play on words [Terra] of course being the terroir for which Coonawarra is renown for, and [amoré] meaning love, created the perfect word for those connoisseurs who truly understand great terroir and love wine.
On October the 17th 2010 Pope Benedict the XVI canonized Mary Mackillop as Australia’s first Saint at Saint Peters Basilica in Rome. Mary was born 15 January 1842. When she was 18 she moved to Penola to take the role as Governess for her Aunt Margaret and Uncle Alexander Cameron’s children.
It was through this work that she met Father Julian Tenison Woods the local priest at the Penola Catholic church. In 1866 under the guidance of Fr Julian Woods she started the first Catholic School in Penola in a stable and in 1867 the school that still stands today was built. Father Julian Woods would ride his horse out North of Penola approx 20kms to conduct Mass for the local and neighboring communities which is now part of our Family farm.
In 1951 My Grand Father Jack Gartner donated 5 acres of land where Fr Woods conducted Mass to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide so a park could be constructed to honour the work of Julian woods. Through the work of my father Michael and his Brother Pete they have restored the park and these wonderful statues were carved out of the pine trees that were originally planted in 1951.
