Domaines Ott was founded by Marcel Ott, a graduate engineer from Alsace, who became enamoured with an estate on the French Riviera in Cavalaire, eventually purchasing Chateau de Selle (Cotes de Provence) in Taradeau near Draguignan in 1912. At the end of World War I, a friend purchased Clos Mireille (Cotes de Provence), an estate facing the Mediterranean in La Londe des Maures, asking Marcel Ott to manage it, before he went onto purchase it in 1936. Following the second World War, the two estates were completely restructured by Marcel and his sons, and in 1956 the family purchased Chateau Romassan ( Bandol). Succeeding generations have carried on the traditions set by Marcel Ott. Today, the wineries are owned and managed by champagne Louis Roederer in conjunction with the Ott family, producing some of the regions most prestigious wines.
Les Domaniers is part of the Ott Selection. These are wines which have been produced from some of the oldest vines and most noble varietals from select growers throughout Provence. The wines are produced using the traditional vinification methods of Domaines ott. The winemaking team carefully select the grape lots and produce wines they consider to be worthy and good value for wines from the Cotes de Provence.
This wine has brilliant pale pink tones with a copper hue. the bouquet is intensely fruity with notes of white peaches, pink lady apple and exotic fruits. You'll find the palate to be Fresh and vibrant, with well balanced acidity and mouthfeel, the fruit aromas follow through here. The finish leaves an enticing impression of exotic suppleness.
Serve lightly chilled (10-12 degrees Celsius). Domainers Rose makes a delicious companion to charcuterie; poultry, white meats, fish, Provencal specialties and South East Asian cuisines such as Thai or Vietnamese.
