Allegrini Valpolicella Classico DOC 2009 |
| |
|
|
65% Corvina Veronese, 30% Rondinella, 5% Molinara.
They’ve been making top notch table wines in Valpolicella since the Ancient Greek era, the name thought to be a blend of Latin and Greek meaning ‘Valleys of Cellars’, though no one quite knows for sure. What is known is that the wines produced there are light and fragrant, sometimes served slightly chilled, are always red, and often ready to be consumed within a few weeks of harvest.
A medium-bodied wine with moderate alcohol content. Vibrant ruby red in colour, with a fresh cherry aroma. Its aromatic qualities are at their peak when the wine is young, but it has the potential to age for 2-3 years.
