Mystery Creek Tivoli Syrah 2007 |

|
No vineyard in New Zealand is further than 130kms from the coast, meaning low fertility soils on a sloping face, all with moderated maritime temperatures, have helped create some of the best terroir possible for grape production.
This Syrah (Shiraz) was handpicked from low yielding vines on a coastal vineyard, ensuring each vine concentrated its flavour intensity into a relatively small amount of fruit.
Aged in a mixture of French and American oak for a period of twelve months, the wine has developed a wonderful deep purple colour. It shows a classic white pepper and cranberry nose, and has a long finish, with liquorice, leather and savoury notes, and the taste of rich, ripe berries.
