Oliver's Taranga Grenache 2009 |
| |
|
|
Colour: Deep red.
Aroma: Pretty floral and forest floor notes abound. Cherry spice, cinnamon and nutmeg jump from the glass.
Palate: Medium bodied on the palate, the spiced cherry characters follow through. Adding to the complex palate are soft round tannins and a pleasing earthy character. Great luncheon wine.
Vintage Conditions 2009 was a very low cropping vintage thanks to a heat wave during flowering. This resulted in a very low percentage of berries completing set, and thus impacted crops drastically. This resulted in some very concentrated fruit and fast ripening. REVIEWS
