Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Red.gif
The main components being 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Shiraz and these are predominantly sourced from Central Ranges 41%, Beechworth 24% and McLaren Vale 16%.

Mostly vinomatic fermenters used, after 2-3 day cold soak prior to ferment. Oak regime is mainly 1-3 year old American and French oak barriques, up to 18 months.

A medium to full bodied colour and density. Aromas of red cherry, spice and earthy edges. Mid weight palate with some Cabernet Sauvignon cedar up front that leads to soft Shiraz richness. The oak regime is mainly older American and French so limited impact although some vanillin on both nose and palate with a long sweet finish. A drink now style that will further soften with medium term bottle maturation. Excellent fruit flavours and balance being the features that will be maintained under the screw cap packaging.
