Deep garnet, with a touch of brick at the rim; damsel plums, cedar and black olive paste are all exhibited on the bouquet, with the developed secondary characters in complete harmony with the still vibrant black fruit; the palate is savoury and fresh on entry as the acidity provides crunch to the gently decaying black fruit, leather and bramble savoury notes; with ageing this wine has developed a silky tannin profile and is ready for consumption with rich braises and roasted lamb.
