" The complex bouquet has nuances of violet and herb under the cassis and plum mainframe; spicy elements of the palate are emphasised by powdery tannins than run through to the finish and aftertaste; for cellaring. Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon. 94 points" - James Halliday
"This 2008 is from a warm-to-hot year but it’s an excellent wine. It has some sweet-sour characters – in a ripe context. Oak is sweet, polished and noticeable, but it has knitted beautifully with a sizeable bloom of dark-hearted fruit. It’s sweet and floral, fruity and persistent. It seems very young, but I suspect we have a champ on our hands here. Juicy, smooth, balanced and long. Tobacco-like aftertaste. I have a feeling this wine is, given time, set to soar. Rated : 94+ Points" - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Vivid deep crimson in colour. A sweet, spicy, complex nose of blueberries, mulberries, blood plums, cardamom and thyme with underlying hints of toasty French oak. The palate is beautifully svelte and complex with layers of flavour and fine-grained, silky tannins. Very textural, elegant and long.
