Dromana Estate Pinot Noir 2010 |
| |
|
|
Winning the top 3 accolades at the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce Awards: Best Pinot Noir ; Best Red Wine ; and the coveted BEST WINE OF THE SHOW.
Dromana Estate range is the premium flagship label of the Mornington Winery Group. All grapes are estate grown and selectively hand picked to ensure only premium grapes enter the winery.
What blessed relief after the heat spikes of ’08 and ‘09. A more consistent summer ripening period has produced fruit of excellent intensity and concentration.
A steel fist in a velvet glove....silky tannin and concentrated fruit held together by clean acid to produce a wine of great length.
The hand harvested and sorted fruit was gently destemmed to open fermenters and allowed to ferment by wild yeast. The resulting wine was matured in French puncheons and barriques for 10 months with minimal interference from the wine making team.
