Layered flavours of red cherry, spice and plum are superbly balanced with French oak, giving length to the finish.
Wine Colour At release, the wine is a bright red with a vibrant purple hue.
Wine Bouquet The wine has enticing, lifted fruit aromas of red currant and cherry fruits with a touch of spice and a very subtle minty, menthol character.
Wine Palate The wine is medium-bodied with flavours of ripe cherry and sweet red berry fruits along with delicate star anise spice characters. The palate is sublimely soft with silky tannins. The back palate displays slight warmth while subtle oak characters of cinnamon and cedar add to the overall complexity of this fruit-driven wine.
Cellaring Notes This wine can be enjoyed upon release but will reward careful cellaring up to and possibly beyond 2015.
