Buller Beverford Moscato Rosso 2010 |
| |
|
|
The Beverford range of red and white varietal table wines takes its name from the sleepy hamlet of the same name in the heart of the Swan Hill Winegrowing Region. Beverford is the location of the winery, established in 1952.
The Moscato Rosso is a less ‘grapey’ Moscato style focussing more on earlier harvested fruit qualities delivering a fresher fragrant aspect while not overtly aromatic. The grapes were harvested at optimum sugar to acid ratio, lightly pressed and partially cool fermented. Fermentation was stopped by chilling down to 0°C giving the low alcohol level which is a characteristic of Moscato.
This wine exhibits a bright pink colour with mauve hints, it's light and effervescence. The nose displays fresh aromas of berry fruits, kiwi fruit and muscat, while the palate offers medium sweet flavours of raspberry, strawberry, nectarine and limes. Light and fresh on the palate. Finishes sweet, but clean and moreish.
