TROPHY - 'Best Sparkling Wine' 2008 Macedon Ranges Wine Exhibition TROPHY - 2008 'Best Sparkling Wine' Federation Square Victorian Wineries Showcase
"One of our best examples of pink fizz. More deeply coloured than some, with minerally notes, raspberry and floral touches. 93 Points." - Ken Gargett, The Courier Mail.
“Our top sparkler was the brilliant Hanging Rock Brut Rosé NV" - Chris Shanahan, Canberra Times.
'Macedon' Rosé is a non-vintage blend of Pinot Noir base wines from our own vineyard, barrel aged before tirage bottling and aged on lees in the bottle for a minimum of 12 months. To be called 'Macedon', sparkling wine from the Macedon Ranges region must be made according to guidelines which govern grape varieties and winemaking methods.
'Macedon' Rosé is salmon pink, delicate in flavour, dry finishing and an ideal aperitif wine. Serve well chilled.
The Hanging Rock Winery was established in 1983 and is located in Australia’s coolest grape growing region; The Macedon Ranges, just an easy one hour drive from Melbourne.
