The Principal Langhorne Creek/McLaren Vale Shiraz 2008 |
| |
|
|
The latest inclusion to the Scholars' range of wines and a significant step up in quality, worthy of Principal status.
Nose: Plum, blackcurrant and mocha with cedary oak characters and spice.
Palate: Rich, dark berry fruits with savoury characters juxtaposed against the sumptuous mocha notes of the McLaren Vale fruit. Gorgeous.
Fruit for this Principal Shiraz has been selected from premium vineyards in the famous McLaren Vale region of South Australia, and blended with an exceptional portion of Langhorne Creek Shiraz that became available through a stroke of luck that we just had to pass on to you. The winery behind this wine has an exceptional track record for producing award winning Shiraz, and although we can't reveal the name, this regional blend is another winner.
