Running With Bulls Wrattonbully Tempranillo 2010 |

A vibrant crimson, the Running with Bulls Wrattonbully Tempranillo 2010 has a spicy nose with hints of red cherry, red currants and splashes of wild lavender and violets. The savoury palate of clove spice and raspberry flesh finishes with classic long and chalky Tempranillo tannins. Enjoy with spicy sausage, olive and sun-dried tomato pasta.
The excellent 2010 Wrattonbully vintage was characterised by above average winter and spring rainfall, followed by regular showers. Fruit set was even and quick thanks to a warm spell during flowering, resulting in a moderate cropping level.
The Running with Bulls Wrattonnilly vineyard lies within the heart of this premium grape growing sub-region.
There are two Tempranillo blocks within the vineyard. One is east-west facing along a rise of red soil over limestone, the other faces north-south following down a slope with red soil on limestone at the top, giving way to more alluvial soil at the base. The fruit was crushed to small fermenters, and then left on skins for seven days before being pressed to barriques and hogsheads. Minimal intervention has been the key component in the making of this wine.
