Bridgewater Mill Gewurztraminer 2008 |

|
The fruit was hand picked and delivered to the nearby Petaluma winery between late February and mid March narrowly avoiding the adverse effects of the record breaking heat wave. The bunches were pressed with only the freshest, first pressed juice taken away to tank. The juice was clean racked, seeded with Petaluma's chosen yeast strain and fermented cool to retain its vitality and freshness. Upon completion of fermentation and some extended time on yeast lees the wine was minimally filtered and bottled immediately. Bridgewater Mill constantly looks to epitomize the diversity of the Adelaide Hills region. This small block of Gewurztraminer in Lenswood not only displays the diversity but also the quality of the region.
This wine displays fresh guava and ripe peach characters typical of Gewurztraminer with a racy acidity to balance its opulence.
