Katnook Founder's Block Sauvignon Blanc 2009 |

"A zesty style, with tropical fruit, and a touch of fresh cut grass; the palate is fresh and lively, finishing dry with lemony acidity." - James Halliday.
Colour :: Pale straw with hints of light green.
Nose :: Appealing and fresh varietal herbaceous fruit with light tropical tones. Additional lifted hints of lemongrass with citrus and light florals complement the pleasing aromas.
Palate :: A mouth filling palate loaded with attractive subtle herbaceous notes, light gooseberry and fresh citrus flavours. Rich in fruit, the palate is a delicious and intensely flavoured wine with a zesty and lingering fruit finish.
Vintage :: Although the 2009 summer was warmer than usual, ideal ripening conditions through February and March produced outstanding quality Sauvignon Blanc fruit. Harvest of Sauvignon Blanc commenced in late February, approximately 10 days earlier than anticipated and was completed by mid March. The grapes were in near perfect condition, free of disease and close to optimum ripeness and maturities.
