Blend: 70% Semillon; 30% Sauvignon Blanc.
Nose: Tight and lifted, this wine is refined and elegant. Floral notes of citrus blossom dominate the nose with hints of lime, citrus rind, musk and gooseberry. Cut grass and fresh hay notes from the Semillon round out the nose.
Palate: 2011 was an outstanding year for this classic Margaret River blend. Fresh and tight with abundant fruit weight, this wine shows exceptional texture and structure. The purity of varietal fruit and cleansing minerality are in perfect balance with the natural acidity. Hints of green apple, fresh grapefruit, citrus and cut grass characters from the Semillon dominate the palate with the refreshing floral characters from the Sauvignon Blanc. This wine shows exceptional length and persistence.
Vintage Conditions: Hot and dry. Early ripening saw the whites being picked two weeks earlier than usual.
