Zonte's Footstep Sea Mist Verdelho 2010 |
| |
|
|
Colour: Pristine Spring Water Like with hints of limey green straw.
Nose: Fragrant, herbaceous, gooseberries and lines. Ginger flower smells as well
Entry: Almost like biting into a fresh gooseberry. Bracing and zingy.
Middle Palate: Wonderfully mouth-filling medium bodied flavours of tropical fruits, especially mango and passionfruit.
After Palate: Just mouth-watering flavoursome, the essence of Verdelho with no winemaking artefact whatsoever to detract from the pure honeydew melon and zippy lime and quince fruit flavours.
Finish: Distinctly refreshing but long peach and even green banana flavours, marred together with classical Verdelho crispness and juicy fruit acidity.
In Summary: This is the eighth consecutive vintage of Zonte’s Footstep Sea Mist Verdelho released. It is fresh flavoursome finely tuned white wine that just the fruit on the vine tastes like. Although almost impossible not to drink immediately all of our previous vintages have cellared well to this day.
