Geoff Hardy Hand Crafted White Blend 2009 |
| |
|
|
60% Verdelho; 25% Semillon; 10% Sauvignon Blanc; 5% Viognier.
The grapes for this blend are sourced from the Wirrega Vineyard, near Bordertown, in the Limestone Coast, the K1 vineyard in the Adelaide Hills and the Angas Vineyard in Langhorne Creek.
The Verdelho in this wine adds tropical fruits whil the early picked Semillon adds citrus and lychee and the Sauv Blanc a touch of grass and lemon notes. Refreshingly zippy acidity balanced with tropical fruit and citrus, this is the perfect drink for summer.
Geoff’s daughter Jess completed her Oenology Degree at the University of Adelaide in 2009 and is now learning the ropes at Loom winery in McLaren Vale. This is Jess’s first wine she has blended for Geoff Hardy Wines, and we are so happy with the results we are looking forward to her future wines. Step aside Geoff, this wine is Hand Crafted by Jess Hardy!
This wine is fantastic as an aperitif, or can be matched very well with seafood dishes such as soft shell crab with wasabi mayonnaise.
