Colour - Deep red with a red tinge
Nose - Complex aromas of dark berry fruit, inky and iodine notes, tightly wound and closed at this stage. Subtle cedar and spicy oak completely integrated.
Palate - The palate is strong and rich with sweet earthy and complex dark fruit characters.
Winemaker Comment
A very fine line and structure, finishing with firm tannins characteristic of Wrattonbully.
Growing Season
Vintage 2007 was marked by severe frosts in spring 2006 which both reduced crops across Southern Australia and delayed vintage. Consequently picking for this wine was spread over 3 weeks between Wrattonbully & Coonawarra.
