Trentham have come up with a smashing drop here! The rose revolution has been talked about, and wines like this are exactly why.
A lush spritely pink on the eye, the nose is light and delicately scented with rose petal and strawberry. Mouthwatering juicy red fruits are well balanced with subtle acidity. The finish is soft and slightly dry with gentle tannins.
One for the summer evenings ahead. Enjoy it with an Asian inspired seafood dish, perhaps even with North African cuisine.
Awards and Accolades
2014 Vintage:
94 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "12-hour skin contact followed pressing, clear juice cold-settled in tank with cultured yeast. Rose hips/petals light the bouquet; the palate is a rarely encountered essay in purity: dry, yet definitely - if delicately - fruity. This is one way to perfection (in rose terms), the other way barrel fermentation, radically different and more expensive and, of course, more complex."
