Aged for 15 months in American oak leaving a subtle imprint as well as raspberry and mulberry fruit, mint, pepper and spice. Layered with intense fruit before flavours of chocolate, vanilla and spice round out the palate ending with fine-grained tannins. It could only possibly go with a leg of lamb rubbed with rosemary, salt, mint and garlic.
