A blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, sparkling red is a uniquely Australian wine, and as such tends to go well with colloquial dishes, such as barbequed kangaroo and buffalo.
Deep red crimson in colour, the wine has richness, flavour and intensity. The secondary ferment softens the tannins and gives the wines complexity while the final liquoring adds flavour and a slight sweetness. The bouquet showcases wonderfully ripe but refined aromas of raspberry, cherry and earthy spice. This wine displays full rich plummy flavours with a fine and persistent bead as well as a soft full and slightly sweet finish.
