Clean Skin Langhorne Creek Chardonnay 2008 |

Knowing well this winemaking outfit and being a big believer in this region I snapped up all of this Chardonnay I could lay my hands on.
Although cleanskin, the wine is from a small label run missing labels and really is at a giveaway price!
The fruit is all concentrated peach and nectarines with very light Oak and some floral notes alongside. The engaging complex minerality is a structural backbone to the wine that provides a moorish quality and lip smacking enjoybility.
The length and quartz like structure of the wine makes it a sensational companion with many foods, light afternoons with the Inlaws or just a great glass of wine whilst cooking dinner to get the thoughts in order. Great value, excellent quality and a first grade contender for value of the year! CHeers!
N: Subtle Peach/Melon, Hint of Citrus(lemon)
P: Peach and Lychees, good acidity, minerally finish with a good length
on the nose slight citrus with a sweet scent – lemon meringue pie perhaps.
Palate – fresh fruit salad and honey notes with crisp acidity and decent length.
Good summertime wine.
Very light in colour, suggesting minimal or no oak. White peach on the nose with a hint of kumquat. Quite acidic and engaging. Passionfuit and lemon. Not a traditional Chardonnay by any stretch.
