Trimbach Gewurztraminer 2007 |
| |
Gewurztraminer is French for spicy Traminer, a grape variety that originated in Northern Italy in the early 16th century. It traditionally has a pungent aroma which appeals to those who like a dry, full bodied white wine, one that can be enjoyed with spicy foods and cheese. 2007 Gewurztraminer has a gold colour with a perfumed nose of lychee fruits and spices. The wine is rich, intense, luscious and the finish is dry and spicy. Textbook Gewurztraminer from Alsace, with a great balance that will age easily 5 years and more.
