A new wine area on the Victorian scene, King Valley is located in the North East of the state and is one of the state's coolest viticultural climates. Ideal for delicate grapes such as Riesling, Arneis and fizz varieties.
Chrismont Riesling is one of the building blocks on which Chrismont's quality reputation stands. It's characteristic honeysuckle, lemon and lime nose, lime and floral palate with distinctive acidity has been delighting palates for many years.
This Riesling is an attractive young wine which will develop subtle toast & honey complexity.
Awards and Accolades
92 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Australian Wine Companion "Apple blossom, lime, wet slate and spice. Attractive combination of flavours. Sits pretty in the glass and is drinking very well now; no need to cellar it but it will hold/develop over a handful of years and more."
James Halliday "The floral bouquet signals a complex array of flavours to come, with lime, lemon and softer notes of honeysuckle and spice; close to its best now, but won't suffer from another year or two in bottle."
