Leo Buring Premium Regional Leopold Riesling 2013

Leo Buring Premium Regional Leopold Riesling.gif

Lifted floral aromas of delicate jasmine flowers, hints of cinnamon stick, cloves & fresh orange peel. The palate has a burst of zesty citrus & stone fruits with great length, balanced off by mouth-watering acidity & fine talcy texture.

With an unrivalled reputation for complex Riesling that stands the test of time, Leo Buring has turned their attention to the cooler climate of Southern Tasmanian for their latest limited Riesling. The Leopold sources fruit from only the best available vineyards in Tasmania to produce a Riesling of pure expression. Line, length, power and grace.

Leo Buring went to Tasmania for riesling some years ago, and hasn't looked back; very different to the Clare Valley, the natural acidity being considerably higher, and the fruit aromas and fragrance more intense. Has wonderful drive and length to the palate, the alcohol adding to the likelihood of there being some residual sugar, that is simply not obvious.
