Penna Lane Riesling 2010 |
| |
|
|
"Light straw-green; has a complex floral bouquet with hints of wild flowers but returning to more usual Clare Valley riesling, with a powerful, layered palate and a tiny touch of sweetness on the finish. 92 points" - James Halliday.
The Clare Valley is famous for Riesling that reflects the soils of the area.
This wine is built around grapes from thirty year old vines established in the rich red loam and limestone of the Watervale region.
The typical citrus flavour is powered by flavours of lime juice and hints of passion fruit. This style can be enjoyed while young and fresh and can also be cellared.
Through cellaring it will develop notes of honey and toast, which will complement the fruit and crispness of the wine.
