The Hungerford Hill Barossa Valley Shiraz is made from fruit from several prestigious Shiraz vineyards in the Barossa Valley which are committed to growing grapes under low yield conditions, resulting in small berry size and intense flavour.
This wine exhibits abundant, intense and deep flavours that reward maturation in high quality small French oak barrels. This wine has all the character expected from a world class Barossa Valley Shiraz - richly flavoured, soft and full bodied displaying the typical regional character of the Barossa Valley.
Deep purple colouring aromas of stewed plums and hints of violets. Perfectly balanced fruit and oak, centred by a long, soft tannin scaffolding and layered and infused with intense flavours of the fully-ripened Barossa fruit with hints of semi-bitter dark chocolate.
