Ferngrove Frankland River Chardonnay 2010 |

"Very good colour development; no oak evident; must have been worked hard in the winery with mlf, lees stirring and skin contact before pressing; nutty/creamy/creme brulee flavours; soft acidity." - James Halliday.
Appearance: Pale green
Nose: A complex array of aromas; baked cumquat, grapefruit, lime and pine nut.
Palate: Intense mouthful of grapefruit and creme brulee on the palate balanced with a creamy texture and fine finish.
Vinification: The grapes were harvested in the early morning, and crushed ever so gently to press. Free run juice was drained and settled prior to controlled fermentation in a range of new, one and two year old French oak barrels. Lees stirring following fermentaion assists with texture and mouthfeel.
Cellaring: Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.
Winemaker’s Comments: The Ferngrove Chardonnay is subtle, harmonious and interesting which makes it perfect accompaniment to drink seamlessly with food.
