This is perfect timing to offer this sensational (but) limited stock from this premium winemaker of sensational Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This price from a decade ago! Is for a very short time to clear away the existing label export stocks. Konrad was very smart in obtaining a large parcel of premium Marlborough to make their decidedly sophisticated wine that rings the bells and delivers a wonderfully racy herbaceousness that tingles the sense and gets the juices running in anticipation.
Fresh, vibrantly fruity and dry, this is a skilfully crafted wine with a herbaceous bouquet, mouthfilling body, and good balance of melon and green capsicum flavours, lively and lingering" (Michael Cooper, May 2008).
Winery Notes- A brilliant, pale straw green colour. This is a ripe style of Sauvignon showing elements of passionfruit, mango, melon and stone fruit, as well as subtle yoghurty complexity from a whisker of barrel fermentation. The palate if soft, full and dry taking richness from the excellent fruit weight achieved in the vineyard. Classic Marlborough Sauvignon flavours of tropical fruits are underlaid by a vein of exotic fruits reminiscent of guava and lychee. The extract of the wine fills the mouth while acidity keeps the palate alive through to a clean, dry finish.
