The third in a triumphant trifecta of Shiraz's produced by Mount Langi Ghiran's Cliff Edge vineyard at the beginning of the century, and arguably the best. Displaying the trademark dry and elegant style of this varietal, the Cliff Edge '02 features a smokey oak and tobacco nose, offset by the perfect balance of dark chocolate and mulberry. On the palate these features greet you once more, with chocolate the dominant characteristic, embraced, as you'd expect, by fine peppers and spice.
We tried this at a recent tasting and agreed it was one of the best we've ever stocked, and at this price a rare bargain.
