Jancis Robinson had a sensational vertical tasting of back vintages of this wonderful wine and commented " Neutral, patisserie nose, Lemony, very pure expression of this wine and a creamier texture than most. Bravo! Nice Balance. 17/20"

Ok! So back vintages or whites can be awesome! I was completely blown away tasting these wines for the first time.

An exciting discovery would simply be an understatement. Great clonal selection can make all the difference and this rare clone exudes specific Verdelho characteristics that on good years make an indomitable animal that gathers strength.

You are struck first by the lovely clear pale straw colour looking impeccably fresh. The aromatics grab you instantly with light florals, some confectionary and swirls of complexity. The wine is just stunningly complex on the tongue with tremendous length and balance of acidity. Although no oak has been used, the wine at 9 years of age just goes on forever and then turns another corner and races out of sight.
