In the glass it's bright ruby with flecks of violet. Vibrant aromas of red berry, sweet cherry, blueberry, rosewater and a touch of chocolate on the nose. Medium bodied, the palate offers more sweet cherry and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is fine with well integrated oak, ripe tannins supporting a long, elegant finish.

Top 5 Malbecs - Dan Sims, Fiveofthebest.com.au "This wine is made by a bunch of Aussie blokes who fell in love with Argentina and her styles of wine (and who can blame them). Again from the Uco Valley though shows a little more density than the Two Men. Still, loads of dark purple fruit and that classic refreshing tannin you get form Malbec."
From the Winery
Mendoza is famous for producing the world finest Malbec. While wine has been made in Mendoza for over 400 years, only recently, have the higher and cooler vineyard sights in the Uco Valley been identified as some of the best. The cooler climate fosters the development of the bright cherry flavours in this wine and provides a fine tannin structure.
At an average elevation of 900m Argentina is home to the highest vineyards in the world. Vines grown at high altitude enjoy unique and ideal growing conditions with considerable temperature variation between day and night. The warm days encourage the development of rich varietal flavours while the cool nights serve to preserve natural acidity, intensifying varietal aromas.
Grapes grown here also benefit from the longest ripening season of any wine region in the world. This means that the grapes can mature gradually which, for the winemaker is ideal, because a gradual ripening means smoother tannins and the development of more flavour compounds. No region in the world can match Mendoza when it comes to the quantity of these handy little compounds per grape.
Each year, Jed’s winemaking team travel to the Uco Valley in Argentina to craft wines that express the unique characters of this acclaimed region. With combined winemaking experience in Australia, France, North and South America, Jed’s three young Australian winemakers have travelled the worlds wine regions in search of ideal vineyard sites. This search led the trio to the Uco Valley in Mendoza (Argentina), one of the world’s true frontier wine regions. Mendoza has a rich, 450 year history of winemaking, but only in the last decade have the southern vineyards in the Uco Valley emerged as some of the world’s most exciting fine wine producers. Fresh snowmelt water from the Andes, crisp mountain air, high altitude and pure UV light conspire to make the Uco Valley a truly unique place to make wine. This pristine environment yields naturally balanced wines which require minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery.
