Domaine William Fevre Petit Chablis 2014

Domaine William Fevre Petit Chablis.gif

A clean precise Chardonnay and an excellent example of the best that the Chablis region has to offer. Pale gold in colour with a delicate nose of green apple, citrus fruits and floral notes, the palate is light, with great freshness, superb mineral notes, hazelnuts, and fresh hay. This wine displays the kind of austerity that is expected from Chablis with a clean and precise aftertaste. An excellent accompaniment to fresh oysters.

Awards and Accolades

Neal Martin, erobertparker.com
"From purchased fruit and vinified in stainless steel, has plenty of grass-clipping and green-apple scents, one what you might describe as a "feisty" nose. The palate is crisp on the entry with almost piercing acidity, sharp and citric in the mouth with respectable weight on the finish for a "petit" Chablis. Enjoy over the next 2 to 3 years."

Allan Meadows - Burghound
"There is ample Chablis character to the restrained nose that consists of green apple and floral scents. The delicious, punch and well-delineated flavours possess plenty of minerality that really comes up on the saline-inflected, dry and focused finale. This should drink well young but reward a few years of cellaring as well if desired."

Gourmet Traveller:
The most famous name in Chablis, Domaine William Fèvre, continues to be a temple for fine Chablis with the ownership by the Henriot family seeing quality rise to even higher levels. There is no better address to see pristine Chablis with tremendous fruit clarity and elegance.
