Made from a blend of grapes from the Muscat family, this light and sessionable wine packs in grape flavour with low alcohol content meaning a second glass is more than welcome.
St Leonards Muscadello is enjoyable on its own, and is also perfect with fresh fruit platters and all manner of fruit deserts.
From the Winery
The spritz and the sweetness are both naturally occurring in this wine. After harvesting, crushing and pressing, fermentation is started and then arrested just over half way through. Most wines ferment to dryness, where all the sugar is turned into alcohol and the carbon dioxide gas fizzes out of the wine. By stopping the ferment of the Muscadello, some of the sugar remains, the wine is low in alcohol and the carbon dioxide is retained in the wine.
This wine is made from a blend of grapes from the Muscat family. These varieties are enjoyed for their fresh grapey flavours and lively acidity.
