The perfect accompaniment to your antipasto platter or cheese board. The peppery, black olive and blackcurrant notes in this wine give it a overall earthy flavour. Velvety tannins balance the rustic flavours of this wine, finished with a acidic line.
From the Winery
This wine is a deep red with a ruby hue. On the nose, it shows intense blackcurrant, black olive with a mix of tobacco leaf, mineral notes and black pepper. Bursting with mulberry and blackberry, the palate has a streak of savoury earth and dark spices. Velvety edgy tannin adds a rustic structure and length to the juicy fruit flavours, all framed within a nippy acid line.
Reviews
90+ Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front "Blackcurrant and blackberry, mint and liquorice, tobacco and cedar/vanilla oak. It’s medium bodied, with grainy tannin, black fruit and black olive, quite firm acidity, and a dark chocolate and tobacco finish of fair length. It’s a bit rugged and chunky, but delivers a good wallop of Coonawarra in the glass."
