A truly lovely back vintage special offer from the doyens of Coonawarra due to a slightly scuffed label.

This very brilliant Coonawarra Cabernet simply lies on the palate and grows in complexity as you smile at the very special price you have been offered to make this wine your own. This Cabernet was destined for the premium market and with a few labels slightly scuffed, was held back to see what a little cellar time could do for it. The results are stunning - this very special price is too!

The bouquet itself is enough reason to crack the top off immediately and the bright, jubey dark raspberries on the nose with earthy currants, vanilla, liquorice, chocolate and an enticing hint of spice that borders on some sweet coconut.
Once opened (and given it’s been 4 years pent up, give it a little time to reacquaint with the outside world) the flavours suggested by the bouquet reintroduce themselves as liquid velvet. Plums, cocoa, raspberries, wonderfully integrated oak, a hint of cinnamon and anise, it’s a wine fully matured and at its creative peak. Wine reviewers were happy with this upon initial release, but they’ve never had the chance to taste the aged version. You can be the judge. But we think it’s worthy of a 92 at least!

This really is one of the best Cabernets we’ve carried and WILL NOT last long at this price!
