"Insane value", "A standout bargain" - just a couple of the reviews of this ripper vintage. This is guaranteed to fly out of the warehouse!
Bright cherry red colour with lively and lifted with freshly picked cherries, raspberry and dusty cocoa. The palate displays an intense fresh fruit sweetness with blackcurrant, cherry and notes of chocolate and mint, which is balanced by a round velvety mouth feel and a medium body.
The original wine in the Rymill Coonawarra Yearling stable, this wine is a dashing two year-old Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Especially made to present lively, fruity aromas with a soft, supple structure, this vibrant yet approachable wine is absolutely perfect to enjoy now. Enjoy this wine with slow cooked ragu and freshly made pasta or roast rib-eye and root vegetables.
Awards and Accolades
92 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "It's hard to expect more from a 1yo Coonawarra cabernet; it is full of fresh cassis and redcurrant fruit, fearsome cabernet tannins nowhere to be seen, instead the length comes from delicious cabernet fruit. A standout bargain."
89 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front "Smells great – lavender, cassis, sweet red berries, eucalyptus, bayleaf and black olive. Quite a complex perfume for the young’un in the folio. Juicy, ripe fruited but not overtly sweet, instead, towing a firmer tannin line, citrusy succulence and trim figure. Finishes dusty, mocha powder sweet-and-dry. Insane value."

91 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Good colour; an attractive and brightly fruited cabernet, cassis to the fore, the juicy opening followed by gently savoury tannins on the finish and aftertaste. The value offered by the wine is self-evident. Can be cellared, but be sure to drink some now."
88+ Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front "This tastes and feels like a Coonawarra cabernet sauvignon. Which is always a good thing. It tastes of blackcurrant and mulberry with an edge of green-ish tobacco and mint. It smells and tastes good, though there’s a gentle bitterness to the aftertaste that the wine would be better without. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the wine sheds this note given a little time to mature in the bottle. Overall, it’s better than most wines selling at this price level."
