Smooth, rich and fruity is the theme with this value red from Trentham Estate. There's plenty of cassis, dark berries and dark chocolate on the nose, along with a hint of star anise spice. This all translates to the fuller-bodied, sweetly-fruited palate that is supported by balanced acidity, gentle tannins, and a silky, fleshy fruited finish. No need to think too hard about it, this is one you can enjoy a glass of everyday.

From the Winery
The grapes were de-stemmed and pumped into the fermentation vessel. The fruit was fermented on skins for 7 days before pressing. After pressing, a portion of the wine was matured in French oak barrels.
Deep crimson red colour with lifted aromas of dark berries and chocolate. Medium to full bodied with an attractive balance of ripe fruit and savoury flavours. Subtle oak and firm ripe tannins. Goes very well with most red meat dishes and hard cheeses.
