De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate Grown Pinot Noir 2015
De Bortoli follow up a run of exceptional vintages with another smashing Pinot release. The 2015 is a delightfully perfumed drop with great weight to the body.
Medium ruby and eye-catching in the glass. The nose is delicately perfumed, red fruit and a touch of spice. Medium weight on the palate with lots of red fruit, cherry, spice and herbs. Gentle tannins make for an elegant finish.
Awards and Accolades
2014: 96 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Australian Wine Companion "In perfect shape and form. Sets the pitch between savouriness, dryness and fruitiness to an exquisite level. A riot of spices, cherries, smoke and herb notes rush through the palate and explode through the finish. Reductive notes work admirably in the context of the style/wine. Fantastic release."
2013: 96 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Clear, bright crimson; Steve Webber was, I believe, the author of 'attention to detail' to describe one of the keys to fine wine, and this is a shining example of that virtue. Every aspect of the purity of the pinot noir flavour, its silky texture and its balance, line and length are in full view. A truly lovely wine."
