Deakin Estate's Pinot Noir is a steal at under $15!
An attractive medium ruby red in colour, the nose offers notes of strawberry, mulberry and red plum fruit aromas with subtle French oak spice and a touch of earthy complexity. The palate is medium bodied, plump and silky, with distinct berry fruit flavours and a savoury, lingering finish.
From the Winery
The fruit for this wine was harvested from our estate vineyards located in the Murray Daring, Victoria (58%) and Coonawarra, South Australia (42%).
The wine underwent an extensive period of cold soaking and was then fermented to dryness in static fermenters with twice-daily pump-overs. The wine spent extended time on skins before pressing, racking, MLF, maturation and final blending.
