This is a striking wine full of endless depth, layers of floral edges and bright red berries. The aromas are beguiling making you are in the grasp of an aristocrat full of mindless luxury. The wine makers have backed up last years vintage with something very special and created a fresh, yet complex attack on your senses. Lifted rich fruit and spice flavours drive the palate, with fine grained tannins and bright acidity on the finish. The perfect Pinot Noir? You be the judge, but I will tell you in advance the value shown here is exemplary.
Awards and Accolades
94 Points, Special Value Wine - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Full colour. The dagger has only just been drawn as at September '17, but will underwrite the development of a wine that has much to offer. It has considerable depth and complexity to its plum and dark cherry fruit. A foresty/earthy subtext adds another dimension."
92 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front "This is a beauty. Textural, powerful, varietal and brilliant to drink. Dark cherries and plums, a tanginess, spice and peppercorn notes. It races about, delivering pleasure as it goes. Tannin is in emery board territory. Take the wine, the price, combine the two, and clearly this is right up there as one of the best value pinots of the year."
