Robert Oatley Finisterre Pinot Noir Mornington 2012
A Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir is always a safe bet, and this one is no exception. Delightful plum colour with strawberry hues. An evocative perfume of muddled cherry pip and plum, with herbaceous hints of olive and twigs. The mouth is raspberry and jammy, silky with a burst of red fruits, hints of spice and quite a concentrated finish with red fruit intensity. A top option from the Peninsula.
95 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Similar bright, clear colour to its Denmark sibling; a fragrant and floral red berry/cherry bouquet leads into a supple, silky and long palate that opens up on the finish and aftertaste with the proverbial peacock's tail."
