Paul Scorpo produces some truely spectacular wine from his vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula and this pinot noir is no exception. 'Noirien’ is a Burgundian synonym for Pinot Noir.
A vibrant cherry red, this wine just leaps out of the glass and demands your attention. The aromas of bright berry fruit and cherry with subtle hints of flint, oak and spices entice the senses, while the dark cherry and mushroom flavours complement the silky tannins to complete a savoury palate giving the wine a wonderful structure and persistence.
Awards and Accolades
2014 Vintage: 94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Australian Wine Companion "It only sees 5% new oak but it feels polished and plush, with satiny cherry-plum flavours leading into more savoury, foresty elements. It's a pretty wine but it also has substance; it's charming."
