Originally from Northern Italy the Lubiana family have always had a deep passion for wine making and that passion has lead them to the pristine and cool climate of Tasmania.
A Rich concentrated palate, deeply flavoured with cherry characters supported by hazelnut overtones. The medium/firm tannins and natural acidity of the wine act to accentuate its full flavour, making this a wine not to miss.
Awards and Accolades
2015 Vintage: 94 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Multiple clones, hand-picked and sorted, destemmed, 10% whole bunches, small batches blended after fermentation, matured in French oak (60% new) for 8-10 months. Deep colour; a very complex wine, with a spicy/flowery background to the cherry and plum fruits that inhabit both the bouquet and palate; while it needs time, the potential is plain to see ? this will always have that little bit extra. It is supple, but has tannin support, and will reach its drink to date with greater ease than that of the Estate."
