Aromas of red cherries and strawberries, a sprinkle of white pepper and herbs, and hints of earthy spices adorn the nose. Meanwhile, the palate is very medium-bodied with spiced cherry flavours, a lick of toasted vanilla and subtle herbs, gentle tannins, and a fine, delicate finish. This would be great with grilled rainbow trout.

Past Awards and Accolades:

2012 Vintage: 93 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
"The wine was fermented in/finished its primary fermentation in French barriques, part new, part used. Bright, but light, purple-crimson; it has a harmonious palate of supple red cherry and plum fruit, oak and tannins expertly sewn into and onto the fruit.

2010 Vintage: 94 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
"Light crimson; marries red cherry and plum fruit with a cat's cradle of supporting tannins that are fine and balanced; it's a step up to the Reserve, but this wine is excellent value."
