Chalice Bridge Shiraz Cabernet 2007 |

Once again I have to admit the writers passion for the blending of these two varietals.
Immediately captivating to the eye, dark bulls blood red and bursting with a bright clear colour that says "Drink me!"
There does appear to be some lovely cool climate white pepper set against a good background of superb Shiraz fruit which is wonderfully balanced with weighty yet clean Cabernet Sauvignon and together, boy, what a dance.
This is a dry wine , that clearly demonstrates the power in length and depth of Shiraz and Cabernet and with some delightful oak use should see this wine age for years yet to come and a pleasure to grab with confidence at any time from the cellar!
The deep purple-crimson colour accurately suggests a very good wine is to follow; there is an abundance of black fruits that have a common core of supple vibrancy, oak merely a backdrop. It's a wine designed to be enjoyed without effort. Screwcap.
