A stunning award winning vintage - This will go down as a cracker and has definitely brought out the best of this region and wine maker, producing a big GEM of a cool climate Shiraz.
A superbly rich, complex bouquet of ripe berries from the ultimately satisfying cooler climate peppery Shiraz, with hints of musk and spice from the Viognier. It's great to see te Viognier is part of the overall aromatic canvass rather than being the dominant sensory indicator.
A lot of wine drinkers are now enjoying the lifted notes and silkiness that a dash of Viognier adds to the picture. The wine itself tastes a little bit like resplendent rich raspberry jubes with firm tannins and a wonderful complete finished structure to that seems to gain daily.
